Service Portal for Residential Customers of City Collection Services
On June 9, the San Diego City Council adopted a new Solid Waste Management Fee for residential properties receiving trash and recycling collection services from the City. On June 24, 2025, City Council authorized collection of the new fee on the County tax roll.
NEW Residential Waste Collection Services Portal
Between July 14 and July 25, the City will send mailers to owners of residential properties receiving trash and recycling collection service from the City of San Diego with instructions on enrolling in a new customer portal. Because the mailer includes important information unique to each property and required to log in, property owners should wait to visit the portal until they have received their mailer.
Use the Customer Portal to:
- Choose the number and size of trash, organic waste and recycling containers you need.
- Request container replacement and repairs at no additional charge.
- Add secondary users to your account.
- View your service and fee history.
